Inventory in each state is at least a little different from all of the other states. So some of the details of the program, such as the minimum DBH accepted, are the same and others, such as the list of species, are different for each state.
Every state's version of TIGER has a set of maximum and minimum values that have been preset for various characteristics, such as the tallest tree height accepted, etc. Some of these values can be changed. If you have particular concerns about any of these limits, please contact us.
TIGER users have a number of volume tables available for estimating cord and board foot volumes. Every state has preset (default) cord and board foot volume tables. These tables can be changed, and new defaults can be set for each user. Additionally, if you want to use a board foot volume table that is not built into TIGER, you can enter a table into TIGER and use that table.
