Unless noted, the values below apply to all four states: Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri

Number of species  = 45 for Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri (plus 5 other user defined
                          species for each state)

Minimum DBH for a tree to have 1 pulp bolt (1 pulp bolt = 8')  = 3.5" for softwoods and = 5.5" for hardwoods
Minimum DBH for a tree to have 1/2 sawlog (1 log = 16')  = 11.5"  for softwoods and hardwoods (8.0 for softwoods
        in Missouri)
Minimum DBH for a tree to have 1/2 veneer log (1 log = 16')  = 13.5"  for softwoods and hardwoods

Maximum sawlog height = 4 logs
Maximum veneer height = 2-1/2 logs
Minimum total height  = 10'
Maximum total height  =140'

Minimum site index  =  20'

Pulp volume table
Table 6 in Gevorkiantz and Olsen (1955) is the default volume table for each state

Default board foot volume table for sawtimber and veneer:
Illinois -- Doyle Log Rule, Form Class 78 by Mesavage and Girard (1946)
Iowa -- Table 1 (Scribner) by Gevorkiantz and Olson (1955)
Missouri -- International, Unknown origin, 2 inch DBH classes
