TIGER for Woodlands and Compartments programs have been developed for states to which the US
Forest Service's Central States and Lake States growth models apply.
We have added the Forest Service's Northeast growth model to TIGER which will allow us to create
TIGER programs for the states from Ohio to Maine.
Other parts of the United States are covered by other US Forest Service growth models. If there is
adequate interest, other growth models will be added and TIGER programs will be developed for
additional states.
We are considering extracting the growth model in the Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS), a large and
complex computer program that simulates forest growth, creates visual images of forests, and much
more. The growth model in the FVS applies to all forest types in the United States.
If you have a particular interest in a TIGER inventory program for a state not presently covered by
